Coree E. Rimby

Coree Rimby is a lifetime resident of Brooksville, Florida . He began drafting in high school and shortly after found an internship at Hernando County Utilities Department. It was here where he first developed his skills in an engineering environment. As a full time employee he was tasked to catalog, reorganize and digitize the Hernando County Utilities mapping system, handle water and sewer location requests, and draft civil engineering projects within the Utilities dept. In doing so he reimagined the county’s system for map data entry and storage, a system which is still in place today. As part of his duties Coree became familiar with large format scanning and plotting equipment and gained experience with various software platforms, including AutoDesk AutoCAD, ESRI ArcGIS, Haestad Methods WaterCAD & SewerCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro. During his time at HCUD, Coree became highly knowledgeable in the Hernando county water and waste water infrastructure and participated in numerous infrastructure designs and installations including onsite inspections and field locates. When FWS was merged with HUCD, Coree worked almost exclusively to integrate the physical infrastructure data obtained from Florida Water Services' Spring Hill utility into the county digital mapping system. His determination to succeed was instrumental in his selection to be a county Emergency First Responder. Coree successfully completed national and state First Responder training courses, and went on to complete state and national anti-terrorism courses. It was this and his encyclopedic knowledge of county water and wastewater infrastructure that led to Coree being selected to engage in a state mandated county wide vulnerability assessment for water and wastewater facilities. Shortly after, Coree resigned from the county to spend several years working in the private sector at Countryside Engineering as an engineer’s assistant. He then took the opportunity to work in HVAC design and installation before finding his way to A Civil Design Group where he currently performs duties as an Engineering Draftsman under the direction of Richard J. Matassa P.E..
